Case Study
St. Mary’s Square is a multifamily apartment community in Downtown Raleigh. JDAVIS was asked to redesign the amenity spaces as well as the entry lobby and leasing office.
Prior to the transformation, the entry lobby included dark finishes, heavily upholstered furniture and felt confined with the existing layout. This space is the focal point and welcome center for new and existing residents and needed to be redesigned to a brighter, more inviting space.
The amenity spaces such as the pool lounge required a connection point so it could connect to the outdoor courtyard and pool amenity spaces and the two-story clubhouse required a full redesign and layout reconfiguration.
To transform these spaces to their full potential we took design took inspiration from the building’s unique exterior of angular shapes, natural stone and black accents.
The new palette includes wood tones, bright neutrals and clean lines to give a warmth to the space, making the environment comforting and sophisticated.
All spaces carry the same aesthetic, all relating to each other and fitting the exterior of the building appropriately as a whole.
Second floor amenity space relocated the pool table & business center to offer better flow and utilization of the space.
St. Mary’s now is a welcoming place to live, work, and relax with a better understanding of who the community is reflected by the interior design.
